Fees That May Be Charged by Your Bank for a Foreign Transaction

If you notice that additional fees have been charged after your order is charged, the fees weren't charged by Grasscity.com. The extra charge was charged by either Visa/MasterCard as a foreign transaction fee or by your bank for handling the international purchase.

Here's a breakdown of TWO different fees that can be charged.

1- A foreign transaction fee is a fee that is charged by Visa or MasterCard to handle the foreign exchange. Typically, the fee is around 1% to 2% depending on the processing company.

2-Issuer Fee: The issuer fee refers to the fee that the bankcharges to handle the transaction. This fee is usually between 0% to 3% based on the card issuer.
